After his management and cinema studies, Gilles Padovani begins to work on long feature films as a manager in 1985. After a long stay in Australia, he got the opportunity to become a producing director in a documentary producing company. He is spending there one year at CAPP. Two years later, he starts to produce his own documentaries at Clipper Films. In 1991, for personal reasons, he settles in Rennes and continues to work in Paris. In 1995, he creates, in Rennes, Mille et Une. Films, documentaries producing company. In 1996, he is doing the Produce in the Regions training. He has , since then produced more than thirty films. In 2000 and 2001, he produces short feature films. At the beginning of 2006, Mille et Une.Films becomes a long feature films producing company and develops a long fiction film by Bénédicte Pagnot. In a parallel direction, in 1999, he was the founder member of “Films en Bretagne”, an association which gathers all the professional audiovisual associations in Britany. For three years, he was also vice-chairman of the APAB, audiovisual producers association of Britany, which gathers fifteen companies. He was a reader at the writing documentary assistance of the CNC (2003/2005) and he is now reader at the Procirep television commission. His company is a member of the C7 since January 2006. Co-production France 3 Ouest (27’, 16/35 mm, broadcasting in March 2001, achat France 2).
