Isabelle Fauvel occupied various position within the production company Flach Film from Jannuary 1986 to August 1992, culminating with her appointment as director of the Film department and supervisor of the audiovisuel productions (both fiction and documentary), from 1990 to 1992. After seven years working in a production compagny she created in June 1993, Initiative Film is the first Paris based consultancy company in the audio-visual field. It counts today three salaried employees and a few occasional collaborators. As a consultant to French and European producers Initiative Film has been involved in various structures and projects, thus enriching its experience and gradually conceiving new ways of responding to, and even anticipating, market demands. Fields of intervention : Television (new concepts, series, animation …)and cinema (long feature films-Fiction and animation) Types of mission : consultancy for production, development of projects, consultancy for scripts, follow up and direction of writing, reading of literary works and/or screenplays at every stage in their writing (synopsis, treatment, screenplay), script writers’ casting, acquisition of film rights, research for a subject for directors …etc Initiative Film has also build up a wide and evolving list of talents, in order to better define artistic potentials, firstly at a French level, now extending this notion to the rest of Europe . Isabelle Fauvel also conceives and organises highly professionnel meetings focusing on creating synergies between the various sectors of artistic activities - mainly Cinema, litterature and Music. She also wrote 2 professional books : 2001 : Writer « Développing a Film project » in French . Dixit 1999 : Co-writer withThierry Bourcy of « 180 script writer’s CVs ». Dixit In 1999, Mrs Fauvel created an audiovisual label ‘Deuxième Siècle’ - i.e. 2nd century which resulted in a collection of ten films of 90’ minutes each, ‘C’est arrivé demain’ - i.e. It happened tommorow - in partenership with the producer Laurent Thiry (Magnificat) and the television channel TPS. And Since 1996 : Mrs Fauvel intervenes as a regular basis in the following institutions : CEFPF, FEMIS, PROFFIL (Liban), Dixit, Arts Contacts, Conservatoire Européen de l’Ecriture Audiovisuelles Ecole Européenne du Scénario, University of Toulouse Montmirail, FIC (Formation International Culture) ... As recently, Step by step (Berlin, Germany) Focal (Zurich, Switzerland) Test (Valencia, spain), bookbridge (Torino, Italy) … Since 2004 she is consultant for Producers Network in Cannes (marché du film) And she is in charge for the french Center National of Cinematography (CNC) of the follow up of 10 developments, in parrallele of the follow up of 6 to 8 africans projects a year for the Ministry of Foreign Affair. She created two programs one with Media Mediscript,, an european course on scriptwriting and development of literary adaptation projects for screen The other one in Africa, Bamako, with the French ministry of Foreign Affair (MAE) and the French Speaking agency ( l’AIF) on the same topic. |
