Brendan McCarthy has worked in film in Ireland for over twenty years. He is widely experienced and has worked an independent producer, as Head of Production and Development at the Irish Film Board, film adviser to the Arts Council and as the Irish delegate to the Council of Europe co-production fund Eurimages. While at the Irish Film Board he was particularly associated with the Low Budget Initiative, which saw the launch many ground breaking Irish films including Gold Fish Memory, Dead Bodies and Adam and Paul.
