Elena, an 18-year old Russian girl, arrives with her father in a hotel named “Cennet” (Paradise) in a Turkish city, close to the border with Europe. She has never seen the sea before and her only desire is to go for a swim in her new bikini. Yet this is not the holiday she had been promised, and with the sudden departure of her father and her passport confiscated, she begins a captive life as a sex worker.
Elena has no choice but to close her eyes since she is surrounded by people speaking a language she does not understand, by guys waiting to sell her, by women who are used to being sold and by a mute, simple guy named Mahsun who doesn’t really know what’s going on in the motel.
Being exposed to violence and threats in this brothel disguised as a motel, Elena’s escape attempts fail and in order to survive she surrenders her future. To be able to legalize Elena’s residence in the country, the boss of the motel forces her to marry Mahsun. Falling in love with Elena at first sight, Mahsun thinks this marriage is for real and is very happy. In time Elena also begins to love Mahsun, who is the only guy who doesn’t harm her.
Elena gets pregnant as a result of being repeatedly raped. Seeing how happy İnci, the head of the prostitutes, and her daughter Melek are, Elena decides to keep her baby. Realizing the guys running the hotel are going to sell the baby, İnci decides to help Elena escape, but she fails. Inci is punished for her part in the failed escape attempt and her daughter gets sent to an orphanage.
Just when Elena is ready to give up her dream of swimming in her bikini, Mahsun refuses to let her dreams die - his love, born in a circle of hell, offers Elena some hope of redemption.
Elena and Mahsun run away to their make own paradise, taking Inci’s daughter. Melek from the orphanage comes with them and awaits the arrival of Elena’s child.
