![]() Theatrical and audiovisual Producer, Entertainer. After working as entertainer in Cultural venues and festivals in Tunisia between 1980 and 198, Habib Bel Hedi specialises in theatrical production within private companies. In charge of production for the National Tunisian Theatre from 1987 to 1992, he takes part in international productions.In 1994, he founds the production company Familia productions with Fadhel Jaibi and Jalila Baccar, and heads the production and distribution of theatrical works such as Familia, Les Amoureux du Café Désert, Soirée Particulière, A la Recherche d'Aida, Junun, and Corps Otages which played in theatres and festivals around the world from Tokyo to Berlin, from Avignon to Cairo, from Beirut to Buenos Aires, from Lisbon to Turin, from Casablanca to Goteborg, from Marseille to Amman and Mednine to Douai as well as at the Odeon in Paris etc… He starts producing adaptations of these shows for Television. He then produces cultural magazines and documentaries with Fredj Chouchane, Mahmoud Ben Mahmoud, Nasri Hajjaj, Anouar Brahem, Nadia El Fani, a short film by Kaouther Ben Hénia "Moi, ma soeur et la chose..." and a feature film by Fadhel Jaibi "Démences". In 2007, in partnership with Tunisian film-makers he organises the re-opening of the movie theatre AFRICA with a new concept and a new name "CinémAfricart" run by the distribution company "Arts distributions", thus ensuring a framework of distribution of art-house films in Tunisia. |
