(Inspired by the true story of the Palestinian child Ahmed Alkhatib) Ahmed lives alone with his mother and tries to find out the hidden secret about his dead father whom his friends accuse of being a traitor. His story interacts with that of Cohen’s, an Israeli child who loves football just like Ahmed, but can’t play because of a heart disease. Ahmed discovers love and hope during his short life. He is killed by an Israeli soldier while he plays in the fields. Hoping to keep her son’s heart beating for life and as a cry for peace, his mother decides to donate his heart to an Israeli child who happens to be Cohen. |
