Jacques Fieschi has worked on the screenplays of films such as Nelly & Monsieur Arnaud, Les Destinées Sentimentales, l’Adversaire, Place Vendôme, and Police with avec directors like Claude Sautet, Nicole Garcia, Maurice Pialat etc.   He also made a few appearances as an actor in Irma Vep (1996), le Champignon des Carpates, (1990), Ville Etrangère (1988), 36-15 (1988), Le Hasard mène le jeu, (1985), À nos amours (1983)

In 2005, Jacques Fieschi steps behind the camera to direct his film 'La Californie' starring Nathalie Baye, Mylène Demongeot, Roschdy Zem and Ludivine Sagnier . The film was shot on the Côte d'Azur, in Cannes and was in the Official Cannes selection in 2006.
