Yahya
Al Abdallah is a director and a literary critic with two Masters
degrees in both literature and film. He has made eight short films
as well as written a critique entitled: 'Alienation:
An Analytic Study of Tahar Benjelloun's Fictitious Characters'.
Yahya taught literature at the Amman Baccalaureate School for over
four years. During this time he also worked as an Institutional
designer and course analyst for a leading e-learning company Menhaj.
There Yehya analysed and wrote scenarios for elementary educational
web based courses and developed contemporary e-learning theories.
His film “The Nice Grandmother” took part in the Jerash Festival,
the Carthage Festival, and the Tangiers Festival for Short Films.
His film “Family Size” also took part in the Carthage Festival,
while his film “Through the Eyes of Children” took part in the
finale of the UN Festival for youth, which was recently held in
Amman. Yehya has recently received a scholarship from the royal
court in order to continue his studies in film production in ECAIR
Cinema School in Paris.
